"B" bags refers to a take home reading program.  Each night, Monday-Thursday, your child will bring home a book to read to you.  At first, they will need to read with you and by the end of the year they should be reading to you.  You should read with your child 15-20 minutes every evening.  The B bag books won't take that long so you can also read favorite books that you have at home.  This is meant to be an enjoyable time for you and your child.  The children who participate in this program become the strongest readers in class.  Participation in this program is definitely a key to your child's reading success!
